Journey or Journal?

This blog began as a journey to update a marketing journal... uploaded so that other can take some ideas from it, but slowly I realized, Life to be much more than a job, a MBA and so on! small things can end up being huge events! Small events can give huge learnings!

So finally the Apache RTR FI has been launched.
The bike comes with a 160cc single cylinder four stroke FI engine that generates 15.7 bhp @ a highish 8500 rpm and 13.1 nm of torque again at a highish 6500 rpm.

TVS claims the bike can sprint from 0-60 kmph in under 4.8 seconds while the 0-100 kph slog is covered in 17.7 seconds. It also has a blue black digital console, racy stripes on the body and disc brake at the rear. The bike has been priced at Rs 64,990 Ex-Showroom Delhi and comes in KTMish shades - orange and yellow.

Have a look at this video for RTR! Again inspired from the KTM ads!

Strangely it also shows a Metallic Grey one! Frankly speaking I dont have any clue if they were trying to show a RTR Refresh vs the RTR FI, because both bikes were head to head. The worst part they are calling it performance first series, but but the carb and the FI has only a difference of about 0.5 Bhp!
I agree that the FI will add a lot of pep to this, but is that a good enough reason to buy/sell?

Economic Times has carried an article (for the zillionth time) about TVS talking about a 180CC and 200CC variant of the RTR.

Hope they come up soon, I would love to trade my RTR for a 200CC one!!!

The KTM RC8 ad, which is very very similar :)

KTM would be coming soon (read really soon) with Bajaj at a probiking store near you!
