Journey or Journal?

This blog began as a journey to update a marketing journal... uploaded so that other can take some ideas from it, but slowly I realized, Life to be much more than a job, a MBA and so on! small things can end up being huge events! Small events can give huge learnings!

I always had a soft spot in my heart for YAMAHA RXZ.

This was one bike that I always wanted to own! Unfortunately this bike had a sad ending in India!

I always wanted to ride a cruiser, so I bought myself a Avenger 180 last year. Although it’s a neat ride, I am getting myself a RXZ. If all goes well I will get the bike in a good engine condition, but a sad cosmetic condition for around 7000/-

I test rode the bike today, and I was so anxious that I woke up my mech at the middle of the night! Asked him to clean up the engine! Put some 2 stroke oil, and did some fuel transplant from my Avenger.

Luckliy for me the engine is in pristine condition!

I intend to do the following mods on this one

  1. Powder Coating the entire tank and painting it inside and outside!

  2. Getting the engine kowl re done!

  3. Getting the alloys done

  4. Getting front discs (hopefully from Apache RTR)

  5. And lastly new decals!

Things for later:

  1. Mono-shocks

  2. He he he you know what  to give it a speed bump

  3. He he he you know what  to give it more speed bump

All this while I was very happy to visualize the bike but now I feel a bit low after watching the new TVS Flame!!!!

Flame it is, it burns the 100-125CC range alive! NXG and discover will have to find a new place to live!!!!

This bike is so done right, that if it has rearsets, and a good top end, it will threaten the 150 class as well.

I am not sure if TVS would throw top end to it, as it might affect the USP of being in the range of <125CC

With a 10.x BHP as against a punny lil 7 on most other leaders in this category (Read Splendour and Splendour with a sillion other prefix and post fix)

Some images for you to drool on!

Notice the turn indicators built ON the Tank!!! CBZ xTreme, take a hint on how to get rid of your Goitre!

Good two tone colours and damn neat on styling for this range!!! And hey look it has front Discs!

The flame thrower!!!!!!

WOW! This is an awesome rear!!!!!!! Excpet for the punny lil reflector below the tail…

Don’t really like the headlights, it looks like the Discover meets the Apache!
